I was first introduced to Paul on a Civils/ SUD drainage scheme in West Wales. It became very apparent early on that Paul was an extremely diligent, honest, proactive, and hard-working member of the contractor team. It was a breath of fresh air working with Paul who fully embedded himself within the project team. Paul oversaw all operational aspects of the project, which, without his technical advice and professional expertise ran significant risk of exceeding project budget and programme. When reporting project issues (be that with design or issues encountered on site) as opposed to flagging and waiting for responses up-stream, Paul would always ensure potential solutions or next steps were appended to his reports. Paul, would frequently go above and beyond, presenting issues to the client and spending significant amounts of time with their design team to develop solutions. Paul is also very commercially minded, often looking to make use of sub-contractor minimal visit costs to maximise value which as a result of his proposals meant additional works were undertaken at negligible costs. Personally, I developed an excellent working relationship with Paul, and he became my sole contact for the scheme. He was always contactable, always ensured any issues were dealt with efficiently and communicated effectively. Overall, the client expectations were exceeded and, I would never hesitate recommending Paul to any of my clients or projects.
